Do You Smell Something Burning?

Well I have plenty to talk about today.

starting with waking up and brushing my teethe, then remembering that I need to go to the truck and work on a case that sortof got wedged between two other cases during the 45 degree up hill road from the stage to the road. Which you would think no big deal right? Well it turned out to be close to 45 min. later and a soaked t-shirt, we got the case safely on the floor.

I forgot to mention that each case weighs 900 pounds each

now the thing you need to be looking at in this picture, is my thought process of straps and load bars that are holding the case from slamming into the floor and making a bigger yet headache for me. (yup that's right folks genius) but only after taking the picture laughing about it to ease the tension, I then realize well crap.....now what?

But for a long story short I'll show the end result, which I can't take all the credit for the cases safety, it also goes to Chris which is in the picture with me, and Roger who's not in the pic, and Matt who I made take the picture in a very dictating manor! haha not really...(but seriously)


After all that we got to the venue, sat around for a while waiting for the show to start, we didn't know why they weren't starting so we went looking for a schedule, only to find that it was posted right there in front us the whole time
not sure how we missed that. but there it is...


Finally for the best part of the day, when I made dinner for the guys on the grill, that's right Chef Culmer...
My fork started to bend...(Sigh)
I know it doesn't look like much but I make a mean Hot dog, there were Hamburgers too! I promise!

I didn't get one complaint.

I've got nothing to really say tonight...other than I really havn't been doing much of anything for this festival. except watching my LED wall. Which I guess is my job but, I havn't had all the friends at this one, no one to really hang out with, which is ok.

Maybe tomorrow somthing fun will happen and I'll get to talk about it..

For those of you who are tech guys I thought you guys would like the weather proof camera covers of high tech garbage bags and gaff tape.

Another Day!

I would like to show you just how far out in the boonies we are if you havn't got the point yet...


Not that it matters to you guys it's just been a while since I've been out in the Corn Fields (I'm pretty sure that I spelled Corn in a previous post like the band Korn) which let me show you a picture of some more if CORN if you havn't had enough



So the festival we're at has a lot of different stages for band to play bands you've heard of band you havn't heard of, and then there's the bands that set up a speaker system in the camp sites and play, and I'm not just saying a couple, you can walk down the road and see a dozen bands in less than mile playing out of tent and seeing who can be louder than the other or who can be the ugliest, and most un showered haha and they all have bulletins telling when and where you can see there band what camp site, by what tree etc. It's actually funny how serious a lot of these people are about this. Bless there hearts.

You can see in this picture the the best spot to advertise your band and where you might be playing is the porta-potti

I should be a Fire Fighter!

Today we showed up at the festival...just in time for us to walk right into a hadge-padge of miss comunication (from both sides, mind you, no point the finger today for me!) I'm not sure how exactly we some how talked our way thru the everything putting out this fire and that fire. But at the end of the day it's funny cause everything always works out, That's why I love what i do, everybody always has to take care of contracts and what not,

Whatever happen to the hand shake and accountablity?

Haha sometimes I wonder if that was an old wise tale. (like walking up hill both ways...or the pull my finger routine haha wait a minute)

This Festival is way out in the middle of no-where too! The site for the 30 min. drive out there looked like where i grew up in Iowa, which I'm pretty sure we're about an hour from Iowa.


The road leading to the Back stage entrance was intersting, after driving down a gravel road for a couple miles we finally got there and it's way out of the way, cause we had to go to the front gate and get pass' and then head back about 20-30min. maybe in a big circle to the back enterance. Crazy how big it is.

Middle of No Where!

We went on Day 2 of traveling to the next gig, in the RV it's not to bad I get some good reading and time to listen to music and just relax and take some pic's of the view..

and that's pretty much the view our truck that we followed all day and korn!

And a Beutiful Sunset that reminded me of my wife!

Livin the Dream!!

well after a few hours sleep...we hopped back on the RV and started our way towards Cornerstone Festival.
were i got all set up on the couch with all the things i need to keep myself from not being bored....










and it didn't work...

Well we finally Loaded out and it took forever, when we were done the sun was coming up...

Who's ready for load out?

I'm ready for load out...we pack the crap up tonight and head on sunday for cornerstone which should be interesting since everybody i've talked to says "have fun there" all sarcasticly. I've never been there so we'll see


wish us the best for load out most the stuff has been scatered and rained on, then cooked thru the scorching sun...and there's the rocks that we get to roll some of our stuff thru.

So this week so far we've had it rain and then get really hot and now tomorrow it suppose to rain some more. so before that happens i took a pic of what it looks like at the moment with it all sunny and stuff

Rain, Rain Go Away.....Please!!!!

So we're in Ohio, it only took us 12 hours to get here from Nashville, I'm not sure if it's because of our dinner stop or if we just drove really slow























we finally show'd up and started loading in yesterday, only to find out that we have a show that night and we were like huh? Really??? So we start getting things ready and then it starts to pour. 50 mph winds and some big ol' rain drops.

well I'm off for the next 3 weeks doing festivals in this



















it's not doing to bad...the wall i hung is above everything 30'... load in was a little long but we got thru it...

I don't know if everybody knows or not, but I'm a Cubs fan, I don't want to jinks anything but we're winning right now...so i want to brag a little while we're winning!

I'm trying so hard to eat healthier but it's so hard cause when you see a master piece like this it's hard....Why??? do i have a pic of something so tempting that in the middle of the night when we're the weakest...and nobody is there to keep you acountable it lurks....

Patti and i have been trying to eat more healthy, i'm not sure if it's working or not...but today we had george forman Chicken salads...mmmm.....with the fixin's

Are we Related??

So here recently I've been interested in family history, not sure why but it's fun, well here's the thing in my little map thing I have seen that people from England have seen my blog not a lot but a few, so the question is that are we related?
